Dr Toh graduated from National University of Singapore in 1999. During her undergraduate training, she was in the Dean’s list and awarded the Mummery Book Prize for best student in oral pathology in 1998. She received a scholarship from the National Dental Centre to pursue specialty training in paediatric dentistry in Melbourne, Australia. She graduated with a Graduate Diploma in Clinical Dentistry and a Doctor in Clinical Dentistry (Paediatric Dentistry) in 2004 and 2006 respectively.

After working many years in the Paediatric Dentistry Unit at the National Dental Centre, she moved to private practice in central Singapore. She also holds a position as a Visiting Consultant to the Cleft and Craniofacial Dentistry Unit at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital and is a volunteer dentist at the AWWA School for the disabled and autistic children.

Since 2012, Dr Toh has been the Chairperson for the Chapter of Paediatric Dentistry, College of Dental Surgeons and the Vice President of the Society for Paediatric Dentistry (Singapore). She is also an appointed member of the Dental Specialist Accreditation Committee in Paediatric Dentistry whose function is to assess the qualifications, experience and training programmes of dentists who wish to qualify for registration as specialists by conducting exit assessments.

Dr Toh has many years of experience in the diagnosis and treatment of tooth decay and dental trauma for children, especially those who are fearful and anxious or those who need extensive or complex treatment.  She provides comprehensive preventive and therapeutic oral healthcare for her patients as well as treatment under sedation and general anaesthesia. She has special interests in managing dental conditions of babies, medically compromised children and children with special needs. She takes great delight in seeing her young, fearful patients overcome their fear and anxiety to become happy confident children looking forward to their next dental visit.

She is patient and loves being around children. She enjoys teaching preschoolers in Sunday school and is a mother of 2 children.
